Job purpose

The Software Developer will be responsible for authoring and maintaining high-quality web based software. This position will work on a dynamic, agile team focused on a blended skill set using .NET Core and MS SQL. A successful candidate will be also be familiar with IIS, Web API, REST, Visual Studio 2017, Visual Studio Code, Git, and Team Foundation Server.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work both individually and in a team environment to deliver high quality code that is maintainable, readable, and adheres to best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop new line of business and customer facing software systems
  • Develop enhancements and maintain line of business and customer facing software systems
  • Provide support for custom and COTS applications as issues are escalated
  • Collaborate with the IT team to complete projects
  • Completes special projects upon requests, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology industry.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with SQL Server including the ability to write basic queries, stored procedures, and views
  • Minimum 3 years REST/RESTFUL API experience using the ASP.NET Web API
  • Minimum 3 years Agile software development experience.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • jQuery and Bootstrap experience a plus

Desired Experience:

  • Experience working with Angular or jQuery. JavaScript libraries or frameworks on the UI are a plus
  • Data warehouses, reporting, and analysis
  • Experience with entity resolution a plus

Working environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical requirements

This is largely a sedentary role, however, some filing is required.  This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing as necessary.  This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds

Position Expectations

This is a full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  No travel is expected for this position.
