Compass Software Developer

Job Description:
Provide MPCV prototyping and evaluation of space vehicle hardware and flight software models, evaluate development approaches, perform testing against documented requirements, and generate documentation. Begin with requirements for a basic vehicle concept, develop prototypes for corresponding models and simulation run scripts, and ensure technical approaches comply with requirements and overall project objectives.

Required Skills:
• C, C++ and Java programming skills on a Linux based operating system
• Experience with Python and Eclipse
• Exposure to Agile methodology
• Understanding of trajectory mathematics, vector propagation, and numerical analysis
• Familiarity with internal and external space vehicle dynamics
• Familiarity with simulations and modeling
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment with other technical and functional developers
• Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
