Cradle Requirements Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support release development and testing of EXPRESS and EXPRESS derived rack software, Ground Systems, configuration files, payload unique applications, other payload flight software, test tools, and lab equipment checkout. Participate in requirements, design, code, and test reviews, as required. Participate in and conduct peer reviews of release products, as required. Design, code, and test applications and executables to define requirements, and develop release documentation, as required. Execute tests during informal and formal testing, and develop/release test reports, as required. Document discrepancies and problems. Participate in, and conduct Test Open Records Review (TORRs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), as required. Support process improvement initiatives to facilitate and expedite software development and test. Install and process system and security service packages, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with C/C++/C# programming capability to design, code, test both transactional and real time software application development
• Knowledge/Experience with 1553 or similar architecture, implementation, and communication protocol
• Understanding of Middleware/Physical Layer Architectural design knowledge and implementation, specifically regarding industry standard architecture implementation of Ethernet, connectivity, communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, UDP)
• Knowledge of LINUX and/or Window base OS system and configuration and set up capability (including installation and processing of system and security service packages)
