Data Entry Clerk

TITLE:      Clerk, Data Entry Port Hueneme Ops 

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor, Port Hueneme Operations Documentation

SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible for accurate data entry to electronically receive USAP material/cargo, producing shipping documentation required to introduce USAP cargo into the Transportation system. Assist with processing and filing open purchase orders daily.  

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: September 2016 through March 31, 2017.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchase order processing, run and print report from Maximo, log, print and

file receivers correctly in the awaiting cargo arrival file.

Perform electronic receiving of USAP material (purchase order/grantee) and

cargo (109th/ATS/contractors) in the material receiving and documentation

system (Maximo), generating shipping documentation for movement of cargo.

Assist with entering cargo dimensions, weight and cube into Maximo for material

packed in PTH Ops building

Assist with the maintenance and annual storage of completed purchase order

files.

Assist with the building of vessel containers in Maximo awaiting the resupply

vessel.

Assist with the preparation of surface and airfreight bills for movement of

retrograde and other USAP cargo to its final destination.

Assist with front office reception duties.

Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION:  High School Graduate or Equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:  None required

TRAINING:  None required

EXPERIENCE: One to two years in office experience including strong attention to detail, alpha/numerical filing, record keeping, and typing is required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.

PHYSICAL AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: US citizenship of resident card holder. Must be able to pass a military base access background check in order to gain access to the work location.
