Deputy Program Manager

As the Deputy Program Manager (Program Manager IV) supporting the NASA/JSC Communications, Multimedia, and Information Technology (COMIT) Contract your prior experience will be needed for providing a full array of information technology (IT) products and services to JSC's Information Resource Directorate, External Relations Office, and other NASA activities. The COMIT contract provides information technology operations and maintenance services to support JSC's mission and it's thousands of customers. The Deputy PM is responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of the program within the guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.  The Deputy PM is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, staff supervision, financial and business development activities.  GHG Corporation is always seeking talent and although this position is contingent upon an open position, we encourage you to apply.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

• Assist the Program Manager with planning and executing program tasks within schedule and budget constraints including technical work, financial and business development activities.
• Authorized representative for the contractual, technical, and administrative performance of all services required under this contract, in the absence of the PM.
• Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
• Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures compliance with program processes and deliverable requirements
• Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation
• Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
• Performs business development activities, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals.
• Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of information technology experience
• BS degree in information technology, engineering, science, mathematics, business, or related field or additional 8 years experience
• Experience in the utilization of ITIL

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MS degree in information technology, engineering, science, mathematics, business, or related field.
• Experience in program management managing information technology projects or programs on behalf of NASA
• Project/Program Management certification through Project Management Institute (PMI), Defense Acquisition University (DAU), or Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI)
• Professional certification that meets DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 desired. These certifications are: GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP and CISSP (or Associate).
