Position Description

Participate as a member of the electrical team to establish, maintain, and oversee implementation of the project specific EEE Parts Control program. The position will support electrical designers and engineers in the selection/application of EEE parts for electrical assemblies. The position also supports reliability engineers in the evaluation and analysis of EEE parts for mission life predictions, environmental impacts, and supports the de-rating and performance predictions of EEE parts due to thermal and radiation effects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Works closely with electrical engineers and designers to review electrical schematics and identify candidate parts and manufactures that will enable the as-designed electrical board/assembly to meet all performance requirements.

Generates project specific EEE build-of-materials for procurement of electrical parts.

Monitors GIDEP alerts for potential impacts to project electrical assemblies and components.

Generates test specifications, screening, Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) requirements, and parts identification lists.

Position Requirements

BS Electrical Engineering

7 to 15 years' experience with development of electrical space flight avionics H/W

3 to 5 years' experience with parts and component engineering
