Engineering Technician I

Job Description
Ability to provide semi-professional technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement. Work pertains to softgoods, crew provisions, electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Should possess a practical knowledge of mathematics or computer science. Must have a general understanding of how to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders. Familiarity with the engineering drawings processes.
Basic Qualifications
• Ability to provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents
• General understanding of how to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders
• Familiarity with the engineering drawings process
• Practical knowledge of mathematics or computer science
• Ability to perform work pertaining to foam manufacturing, softgoods, crew provisions, laptops, printers, audio visual equipment, electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment
Desired skills
• Working Knowledge of CAD Software
• Ability to convert/export CAD files to a CNC Router for manufacturing
• Ability to operate a CNC Router
• Ability to sew and provide softgoods manufacturing support
• Ability to perform hands on fabrication of contract products
• Ability to perform cable and electronic component fabrication
