FOX Integrator

Job Description: As a member of the Fox Integrator team in the NASA Flight Operations Training Branch, the Fox Integrator is responsible for effectively leading the Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) organization to which they are assigned in implementing the Fox Training Management System (TMS) into their training management practices per the defined standards and processes. Upon completion of a peer taught training plan, Fox Integrators are required to maintain current established processes and independently meet the daily requirements of the position with minimal direction or assistance needed. These daily requirements include but are not limited to performing the following functions in the Fox TMS: 1) administrative duties, such as permissions management, 2) creation and maintenance of FOD certification records, 3) creation and maintenance of FOD Training Curriculum records, 4) scheduling of FOD training events and resources , 5) accessing and running FOD Fox reports, 6) performing testing on new tool releases, 7) identifying and coordinating fixes to tool issues within FOD 8) communicating as the liaison to their assigned organization regarding Fox issues and features, 9) reporting and responding to trouble ticket resolution with the Fox TMS vendor, 10) leading and/or supporting special projects per a defined project schedule to enhance the functionality and understanding of FOD and Fox Training Management processes. The Fox Integrator must be capable of becoming completely familiar with the FOD Fox TMS, and be able to learn and understand any new features of the tool that are introduced in any of the periodic release packages. They must understand the tool to the level of detail to be capable of teaching others to operate the tool. The Integrator has access to the Fox test environment to enhance their knowledge base on tool functionality. Fox integrators are responsible for independently integrating and directly communicating with the customer, asking clarifying questions when required to fully understand requirements, and overcoming challenges as they occur by either implementing effective solutions or requesting assistance from management. They are also required to regularly evaluate current processes for potential improvements and coordinate these ideas with their assigned FOD organization representatives and the Fox Project Manager for potential implementation. They should also establish an effective working relationship with the other Fox integrators and collaborate for potential improvements to process consistency and effectiveness. The Fox Integrators are responsible for the maintenance of the Fox wiki site, which is a listing of the major fox capabilities, procedures and operational processes. With each tool release, the functionality has the potential to change and the Fox Integrators are required to make sure the Fox wiki pages are updated with any of these changes (cosmetic or functional).

Required Skills:

An above average understanding of Microsoft Office and other related computer software is required. Demonstrated ability to utilize current computer skills and quickly learn and operate new systems is required. The candidate should have past experience in database and information management, including tool troubleshooting, process and tool issue detection and resolution and coordination with the users, as well as project management skills to manage longer term changes to tools and associated processes. In addition to the ability to grasp new procedures quickly, the candidate must use critical thinking to understand and implement the appropriate procedures when met with new tasks or customer requests. The candidate must also be able to understand these complex scenarios to the level of detail to be capable of developing comprehensive instructions regarding these systems and processes and be capable of teaching other team members to perform these tasks. Attention to detail is required along with the ability to work with multiple customers. This position requires the demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to project plans and consistently meet project deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills are required.
