Position Description

Mission Data Lead supports the JPSS Ground Project by monitoring the performance of Ground System processing to minimize the impact of potential data loss and/or delay from any issues with that processing.

Support of multiple regularly scheduled meetings to keep informed of overall system status and upcoming events that may impact science data, to follow through with resolution of issues or problems that are tracked via a work request system.

Assist in developing future capability of system reports

Position Requirements

• Knowledge of Ground System processing, Flight Dynamics and Operational Mission Support desirable.
• Experience with data analysis and generation of reports.
• Advanced skills in Excel and SQL (able to generate complex queries)
• 4 year technical degree or applicable work experience
