Position Description

Systems Engineer supporting the JPSS Flight Project Mission Operations Support Team (MOST). Supports the development, integration, test and implementation of tools to help the JPSS MOST subsystem engineers during pre-launch, launch and early orbit operations.

Position Requirements

Tasks/Duties include:

Works with subsystem engineers to determine what tools are needed to aid the MOST in

supporting the JPSS mission. This includes current specific NPP tools that need to be

upgraded for the new B2.0 ground system.

Create/support the documentation related to the tools such as users guides, SOPs and VDDs.

Participates in various meetings, TIMs, teleconferences, and reviews throughout the

development lifecycle of the mission.

Prepares and provides reports to the Mission Operations Manager regarding development

status for the mission tools.

Must be proficient in PERL, JAVA, PYTHON, JavaScript and Web and application

development.

Four year degree in a technical field such as engineering or software development.
