Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

This is a temporary, surge support position supporting the FDOC contract at JSC. The candidate will execute work instructions for the removal and/or buildup of computational systems, miscellaneous hardware, de-energized electrical branch circuits, and other miscellaneous items as directed. Coordinate with other NASA organizations to properly disposition and excess material and hardware.  Provide project status through electronic log entries and status reports as required.  Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on computational systems.

Required:

Prior work experience with NASA and FDOC safety and material handling.  Must have familiarity with JSC and FDOC policies regarding HAZCOM, Personal Protective Equipment, Protect Your Back training, and Job Safety Analyses.  Must have the ability to interpret and follow engineering instruction packages, and communicate with peers and engineering counterparts,   Position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, pull cables, and sometimes work in confined spaces with appropriate task-specific training and Personal Protective Equipment. US citizenship required.
