Network Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

         Network Analyst position will participate in various functions for the organization such as security scans, network infrastructure, and client server support.  

         Responsibilities will include technical planning, analysis, and design of network solutions with routers, switches, and firewalls to meet overall system requirements as well as specifying hardware, performing hardware set up, and installing and configuring operating systems in accordance with configuration guidelines and standards.

         This position will be responsible for applying patches, upgrading, diagnosing, and correcting failures and will have the responsibility for ensuring compliance with all audit and security requirements imposed by the company and customers.

         This position will maintain the current network infrastructure to maximize IT resource utilization while minimizing costs, coordinate network infrastructure changes within the organization, and provide network support to the entire IT organization as necessary. 

         Responsibilities will include project management and coordination for new implementations and changes, implementing configuration changes, performing system upgrades, and maintaining detailed documentation for the wide area network and local area network infrastructure equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

         This position requires a thorough knowledge of LAN and WAN protocols including OSI Model, TCP/IP, IGRP, and EIGRP along with experience using a network analyzer to identify network problems and to analyze the network behavior of various systems.

          Previous experience implementing security and monitoring systems (intrusion detection system, firewalls, proxy server, performance monitoring tools, etc.), effective written and verbal communication skills, proven customer centric perspective, proven ability as an effective strong team player, demonstrated self motivation in performing technical tasks, and the ability to work a flexible schedule to support non-core business hours. 

         Previous experiences with audio/video equipment and telecommunications involving VOIP systems is considered a plus.

         Candidate must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 2 years of professional experience.  Technical certifications are a plus.
