Principal Business Analyst

PRINCIPAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:

                    Provides leadership in the activities of complex application design, scope definition, development, implementation, issue resolution, and support.

                    Provides strong support for the project deliverables and ensuring that deadlines are met.

                    Assists the Project Manager in the tracking of risks, issues and ensuring that mitigation strategies are developed and executed.

                    Provides direction for other analysts assigned to the project

                    Partners with the business process managers and supervisors, providing guidance in their functional transformation;  fosters a strong collegial relationship

                    Provides workflow analysis to document current processes, business rules and systems analysis.  "Bridges the gap" with the business partner in identifying standardization of processes by leveraging technology.

                    Addresses obstacles in the development of workflow solutions;  escalates to the Project Manager as needed along with sufficient detail

                    Supports the gathering and validation of scope and associated deliverables

                    Provides Application Testing and Validation Prior to Go-Live

                    Manages end-user expectations

                    Attend project meetings and present deliverables to team and client 

REQUIREMENTS:

                    MS Sharepoint

                    MS Visio

                    10 years experience in healthcare or clinical research software systems implementation

                    Strong organizational skills

                    Strong analytical skills

                    Strong ability to translate often-chaotic workflows into discrete operational streams

SKILLS PREFERRED

                    Team leadership experience

                    Project Management experience

                    Academic healthcare/research experience
