Project Engineer

TASKS DESCRIPTION:

Project Engineer to provide level of effort engineering support to the Orion Mechanisms (MECH) team. Tasks shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Development, review and modification of engineering products in support of MECH component development.
• Responsible for MECH mass properties management.
• Responsible for MECH risks and opportunities management.
• Facilitate the release of MECH engineering drawings including product structure development and change boards.
• Limited mechanical design work in PTC Creo.
• Support development testing.
• Procurement expediting.
• Action item follow-up and closure.
• Creating presentations (MS Power Point).

ADDITIONAL TASK REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degrees in engineering from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 to 20 years of professional experience. Aerospace or mechanical engineering background is desired.
• Experience with human-rated spaceflight hardware design and integration is desired.
• Experience on Lockheed Martin Space or NASA Programs especially the NASA Orion Program
• Good communications skills.
• Experience with standard Microsoft Office applications.

• US Citizenship is required.
