Requirements Management Systems Engineer

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry. They are in search of a team member to help drive change through the development and implementation of new processes and tools. This team is working to develop and implement a requirements management system to be used globally throughout the company. They need someone capable of leading this conversation and work to unify a multi-cultural, global company.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knowledge of system engineering fundamentals as defined by INCOSE
• Knowledge and/or experience in requirements management and configuration management
• Proficient in process improvement as well as continuous improvement (global implementation)
• Experience with requirements development (elicitation, writing, reviewing, analysis and specification)
• Strong background in creating/maintaining documentation (requirement documents, training material, process documents, standard operating procedures, etc.)
• Knowledge of software development life-cycle practices, principles, and techniques
• Skilled in software test (create use cases, test scenarios, regression testing)
• Experience in a development environment from design to implementation to maintenance
• Experience in training users (creating training documents as well as teaching the information)
• Able to present in front of large groups (a mix of being a salesmen and trainer)
• Experience working with multi-cultural and remotely located team members
• Possess effective leadership ability within a team environment
• Maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Ability to travel up to 25%

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Oilfield/Energy sector experience
• Familiarity with subsea equipment
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter (or other requirements management tools)
• INCOSE systems engineering certifications
• Graduate degree in systems engineering

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent plus 3-5 years engineering experience.
• 2-3 years Requirements Management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office products including MS Visio
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
