Robotics Software Developer

Job Description:

The candidate will fill a software engineering position on the Mission Control Robotics Modeling software development team, developing and maintaining software that models and supports Flight Controller onboard Robotics mission design activities.  This position will provide maintenance and software development in support of NASA's John Space Center International Space Station (ISS) program.  The applicant will require full software life-cycle knowledge using engineering and programming skills.  The applicant will work in a team environment and will be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, and user support after release of software. 

Required:

B.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.  Software development using C++ object oriented design on a Linux platform.  Shell scripting (bash/sh/cshell), Perl. Background in kinematics/robotics, GUI design and development, GTK experience desired, MCC-21 and domain experience, Python experience.  Math modeling experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.  Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem solving skills are required. US Citizenship.
