EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years' workflow analysis/design/programming/project management. experience. May substitute required education with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

EHR Application Analyst

SUMMARY:
Function: Provides advanced technical support for the implementation and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR) system.
Scope: Impacts the proper utilization of EHR system throughout the institution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
(Restricted to Epic project) Responsible for coordinating and communicating with end users for assigned complex application(s). Reviews software, analyzes business operations and collaborates with subject matter experts to tailor EHR system to fit institution needs. Performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical components associated with the use of EHR software. Responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures to be used in conjunction with EHR applications. Identifies opportunities for process redesign to maximize use of EHR software.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• ANALYST MUST BE BASED IN HOUSTON TEXAS.
• THREE YEARS' EXPERIENCE OF EPIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF REGISTRATION, ADMISSIONS, AND SCHEDULING.
• EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE PRODUCT END USER USAGE AND TESTING EXECUTION ACTIVITIES.
• EXPERIENCE IN THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF EPIC APPLICATION SOFTWARE PRODUCTS.
• EXPERIENCE WITH BASIC PRODUCTIVITY SOFTWARE (I.E. WORD, EXCEL).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Preferred: Epic Certification.

Duties:
The EHR Application Testing Support Analyst is a primary support contact and works with the Testing Leads and other members of the EHR team to prepare, document and assist with testing execution efforts. The EHR Application Testing Support Analyst will have communications with the team specific application representatives.

In addition to the duties discussed above, he/she is responsible for the following:
1. Review and analysis of testing support materials
2. Modification of testing support materials.
3. Developing and documenting testing preparation procedures
4. Execute the patient preparation process in the Epic application as outlined in the testing support materials.
5. Working with application analyst to resolve questions or testing related elements.
6. Creating testing packets for testing sessions.
7. Assisting testers with documentation of issues in the issue management system
8. Provide assistance in tracking testing execution status as prescribed by the Testing Team.
9. Execute test scripts for regression testing in between testing rounds.
10. Other testing related duties as assigned
